Vortano

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026

This policy explains what personal data vortano.net collects, why, and what your rights are. We’ve written it in plain language on purpose — the same way we write everything.

Who we are

Vortano is an independent WordPress consultancy operated by Srđan Svirčević PR Vortano, Novi Sad, Serbia (“we,” “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect, and why

1. Contact form submissions

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, website URL, what you’re inquiring about, and your message. If you arrived via one of our plan links, the plan name is included automatically.

  • Why: to respond to your inquiry, prepare the audit you requested, and follow up.
  • Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
  • Retention: we keep inquiry emails as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

2. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the site is working well. GA4 sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects device and usage information. We use Google’s default IP handling, which does not log or store full IP addresses.

  • Why: to improve the site and understand which content is useful.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website.
  • Data sharing: analytics data is processed by Google LLC, which may process it on servers outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
  • Opt out: you can use Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser.

3. Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA v3)

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which distinguishes humans from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

  • Why: to keep the contact form usable and our inbox free of automated abuse.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site from spam and abuse.

4. Server logs

Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical data for every request: IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp, and referring page. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and rotate automatically.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent personal data to anyone.
  • We don’t run advertising or social-media trackers on this site.
  • We don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve explicitly asked us to.
  • We don’t collect more than we need — you can browse this entire site without entering any personal information.

Cookies

The site sets cookies only for analytics (Google Analytics, see above) and any strictly functional purposes. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site remains fully usable without them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR for EU/EEA visitors and the CCPA/CPRA for California residents), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these, email info@vortano.net — we respond within one business day and resolve requests within 30 days. EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Data transfers

We are based in Serbia. Where data is processed by service providers outside your country (such as Google, as described above), transfers rely on recognized safeguards including adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data — for example, by adding a new tool — we’ll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
