The short version
Vortano is a founder-led WordPress consultancy based in Novi Sad, Serbia, working with clients across the US and Europe. It’s built around a simple observation from over ten years in this industry: most websites don’t fail because of bad technology. They fail because nobody was responsible for them.
Who you’ll work with
Vortano is led by Srdjan Svircevic, a WordPress engineer with over a decade of experience and an organizer of WordCamp, the official WordPress community conference. Community organizing isn’t a business credential exactly, but it tells you something: this is someone the WordPress community itself trusted to represent it.
Srdjan personally leads every engagement. For larger projects, Vortano draws on a hand-picked network of senior engineers, specialists in React, Angular, PHP, .NET, Java, Go, and Python. This is a team that worked together for years. You get a small team’s range with a single accountable person. No account managers, no juniors learning on your site, no ticket queues.
The track record
- 10+ years of WordPress engineering, from local business sites to a custom-built aerospace marketplace for a US client
- 20+ websites under continuous care today
- 6+ years with our longest-running agency client, a German marketing agency whose entire WordPress portfolio we maintain, under their brand
- Experience across the Swedish, German, and US markets. We’re used to working remotely, in English, across time zones
That six-year retainer is the number we’re proudest of. Anyone can win a client. Keeping one for six years, across dozens of sites, through hundreds of updates — that only happens when the work holds up.
Why “built to last”
The WordPress economy is full of quick builds: page-builder sites assembled in a week that become unmaintainable in a year. We take the opposite bet. Everything we build or maintain is documented, standard, and engineered to survive handover. If we ever part ways, any competent developer can pick up where we left off. That’s not a risk to our business; it’s the reason clients stay.
Where we work
Vortano operates from Novi Sad, Serbia, which for US and Western European clients means senior engineering at sane rates, overlapping working hours, and a response time under 24 hours. Registered business: Srdjan Svircevic PR Vortano.
